RICK: My name is Rick and I live in Houston, Texas.

RICK: I went to an ENT because my left ear got water in it, and there was a little infection, and the ENT said, "Well, let's just do an audio test." Did that, and then he surprised me by saying, "You need hearing aids."

RICK: My initial thought when I was told I needed hearing aids was, "How can I afford a hearing aid," 'cause they're not cheap, and when I called customer service, they're all, "Don't worry about it."

RICK: "There is charges."

RICK: "You'll know ahead of time." So, yeah, it was a load lifted off my shoulders that I could get my hearing and not have to take a mortgage out of my home.

RICK: They transferred me to the department that handles hearing aids or hearing problems and they made it simple.

RICK: And then they tell me, he says, "Well, these are the companies," and they show you the rating, then the reviews.

RICK: And I mean, the option was mine of who I wanted to go with and what type. The process going through it was so smooth that, I mean, I can't-- there's no way anybody could complain about how they did it, how they were. And the speed? I mean, all those-- I was getting measured for the hearing aid within about seven days. I mean, it--they did it so fast.

RICK: You could hear things that you never knew existed.

RICK: Couple weeks ago, I went to Jones Hall to hear the Houston Symphony. And it had been a while, but I was curious to see if I-- my Lord, I didn't know what I was missing.

RICK: When I came home after the initial fitting, I came up to the door, and I have a coded door, and never knew it beeped and-- when you hit a number, and it was like, "No, I didn't hear that." And I hit the second number and it beeped and it was like, "Oh, my God."

RICK: If I didn't have this benefit, I would just have to go without them because I couldn't afford them and I'd miss hearing full symphonies and people talking. The benefit was just terrific, and I'm so thrilled UnitedHealthcare had it.
