Ellen speaks to the camera from her own office, with shelves stuffed with books visible in the background. Her name displays in a blue graphic in the lower left.

ON SCREEN TEXT:          Ellen

                                    UnitedHealthcare ® Medicare Advantage Member

HI: Hi, I'm Ellen.

A white bar crosses over the screen, wiping away the graphic.

ELLEN: I retired in December of 2018. I was a high school librarian, and I had health insurance through my employer all my life, so this was my first experience with Medicare.

Solid white sweeps over the screen.

ELLEN: I had a friend who suggested that I see somebody in town about getting UnitedHealthcare because she was so happy with the plan. UnitedHealthcare looked so appealing to me when I heard about all the benefits that they offered. I'm generally a healthy person, and everything just seemed like it was exactly what I needed for my type of health needs.

White sweeps over the screen and becomes a solid background as blue text displays.

ON SCREEN TEXT:          Over-The-Counter (OTC)

Ellen speaks in voiceover. Then the scene dissolves to show her in her office again, with white fine print at the very bottom. The print fades after a few seconds.

ON SCREEN TEXT:          Health and wellness products offered as a credit for approved over-the-counter items. Benefit credit amounts vary by health plan.

ELLEN: As soon as I heard about the over-the-counter benefit, I looked into it right away and discovered that there's an amount of money you get every quarter, and I spend that money on over-the-counter medicines, pain relievers, vitamins, Band-Aids-- I even got a back brace one time. And having that money to spend not out of your own pocket to me is a big benefit. My dentist has been trying to encourage me to buy an electric toothbrush for many years, and I've just put off doing it because I think they're very pricey. I think the second time I used my benefit, I bought an electric toothbrush, and I've been very happy with it.

ON SCREEN TEXT:          Easy Online Ordering

ELLEN: When you log onto the site, it tells you your amount at the top, and as you order things, it drops it, so you don't even have to keep track of what you're doing.

She continues speaking in her office.

ELLEN: As you put things in your cart, your balance drops, and it keeps track of it for you. And a few days later, it shows up at your door. It's awesome.

Solid white sweeps over the screen.

ELLEN: You do not have to be a computer genius to use this. If you go online at all, if you've ever been to any kind of a website, if you've ever shopped online--which most of us have--it's just like going to any other shopping site.

Blue text displays on white. She speaks in voiceover.

ON SCREEN TEXT:          Large Selection of Generic

                                    and Name-Brand Products

ELLEN: One of the best things about having the allowance is the variety of items.

She continues in her office.

ELLEN: So if you're thinking, well, it's just pain medicine, or it's just vitamins-- it's not. The variety is one of the biggest things that you can find a lot of things that you use all the time that you wouldn't think would be part of an over-the-counter credit.

The blue UnitedHealthcare logo appears on a white background. Fine print displays at the very bottom and changes several times. The scene fades to black.
