EMILY PETERS: Many plans cover it at full cost as long as you stay in network. And going in for that yearly preventative well exam is gonna make sure you're staying healthy year round and get any necessary immunizations you may need.

EMILY PETERS: You may have online tools or representatives available to you to help make sure that that prescription is going to be covered for you. Many doctors also have a tool available to them where they can check the eligibility of a medication in real time for you and estimate any out-of-pocket expenses you may incur.

EMILY PETERS: One of the things in life you can count on is change, whether that's the birth of a new baby or a marriage, there are quite a few different family life events that could qualify you to change your plan in the middle of the year. Now this typically needs to happen within 30 or 60 days of the qualifying life event. Otherwise, you might have to wait until the next open enrollment period.
