Valuing Federally Qualified Health Centers

Value of FQHC partnerships

Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) have long served as a cornerstone in their communities — providing integrated, high-quality care for Medicaid members and underserved populations. In fact, they serve 30 million Americans (roughly 1 in 11 people) every year, including 1 in 8 children and 1 in 3 people who are living in poverty. Providing affordable and accessible care, FQHCs serve millions of individuals every year regardless of their ability to pay. FQHCs deliver a comprehensive array of services that address the primary, mental health, oral health and social support needs of their communities.

In this short video, UnitedHealthcare leaders share the importance and value of partnering with FQHCs to develop new care models to better serve communities.
