Caring for our Communities: UnitedHealth Group Employees Galvanize Hurricane Relief Support in Florida and Texas

Following catastrophic damage, pouring rains and immeasurable flooding, UnitedHealth Group employees have shown unwavering support to help rebuild communities still reeling from the destruction of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

In this video tribute, UnitedHealthcare Nurse Practitioner Carol Brzozowski recounts her company’s response in the wake of disaster, demonstrating how volunteerism can have profound impact on the communities a company serves. She said, “it didn’t matter if they had UnitedHealth insurance or any other kind of insurance – we were going to make sure people were getting taken care of.”

UnitedHealth Group’s commitment to help build healthier communities is evident in the outpouring of support for communities in Florida and Texas. Yet, the work has only just begun – as these communities continue to rely on donations of time and resources to rebuild their homes, schools and workplaces. UnitedHealth Group employee volunteers and partner organizations continue to help provide relief through emergency health services, contribute to community drives for food and household items, staff emergency care clinics and provide transportation where needed.
