UnitedHealthcare announced its 2019 Medicare Advantage offerings, designed to meet the needs of this growing population while reducing premiums for more than 1 million members, during a livestream event Monday, Oct. 1.
The event, featuring UnitedHealthcare Medicare CEO Brian Thompson, took place in advance of Medicare Annual Enrollment (Oct. 15 through Dec. 7), when individuals can make changes to their coverage.
At a time when many people are concerned about health care costs, Thompson described the stability and value of UnitedHealthcare’s 2019 Medicare Advantage plans. More than 90 percent of people with standard UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans will see at least stable premiums in 2019, and more than 1 million people will see their premiums reduced.
Thompson also highlighted the company’s enhanced benefits and programs, which are designed to help people live healthier lives.
