Does Your Medicare Plan Cover Vision, Hearing, Dental? These Do.

With age comes wisdom. Time with grandkids. Possibly travel and leisure. But unfortunately, it’s not all fun and games. Our vision and hearing can start to fade, and our risk for oral health issues may increase.

Preventive health visits can help us keep up with the realities of aging. Similarly, finding a health plan with additional benefits can make it easier to be proactive about your overall health and well-being.

For that reason, a growing number of people are choosing a Medicare Advantage (MA) plan instead of Original Medicare.

MA plans include all of what is covered by Original Medicare and often include extra coverage for routine vision, hearing and dental services. In fact, about 90 percent of Medicare Advantage plans include at least one of these benefits, and more than half include all three.1

In addition to routine exam coverage, more than 70 percent of MA members receive credits toward buying eyewear, and a similar percentage has hearing aid coverage.2

Medicare Annual Enrollment runs from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7. To find a health plan that covers these additional preventive health services, visit UHCMedicareHealthPlans.com.
