UnitedHealthcare’s All Savers Benefits Design Plan Comes to Benefix Quoting System

UnitedHealthcare is constantly looking for ways technology can help brokers and employers in their search for health benefits. As part of that effort, brokers in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania will now be able to quote UnitedHealthcare’s All Savers self-funded plans through Benefix, a one-stop shop for small group health benefits.

Benefix is an online platform exclusively for brokers and small businesses that enables real-time quote generation and enrollment to simplify the annual small business health benefits process.

Benefix users will now have access to compare quotes for both self-funded All Savers plans, as well as fully insured plans from UnitedHealthcare. The relationship is another step in UnitedHealthcare’s commitment to providing more personalized and easier-to-use resources through innovative, digital tools.

“UnitedHealthcare and Benefix both believe in the value of continuous innovation,” said Paul Sharkey, vice president of sales for UnitedHealthcare. “Benefix is changing the game for small business brokers by creating a simplified platform to receive UnitedHealthcare’s adjusted community and self-funded plans and rates for employer groups with less than 100 employees.”

All Savers consumer-driven health plans are designed to help small businesses, with more than five but less than 100 employees, meet the challenge of rising health care costs by offering flexibility with an Alternate Funding plan, which allows every enrolled employee and covered spouse to receive $1,000 of up-front coverage.

Unlike a fully insured plan, All Savers gives small business employers the opportunity to potentially receive money back at the end of the plan year through a surplus refund.

With Benefix, brokers can help streamline their client workflow on a single system. The platform may save hours in time per quote, allowing users to quote, propose and enroll in one place. The system generates proposals in seconds. Brokers can easily upload company census files, plus all forms and documents are digital. From there, users can easily email files to be filled out and signed.

“As an insure-tech startup, partnerships are key to our growth and market impact, and working with UnitedHealthcare has been nothing less than a game changer,” said Matthew Ranauro, founder and CEO of Benefix. “UnitedHealthcare’s hyper-focus on innovation and industry evolution is a perfect match for Benefix and we’re thrilled to introduce All Savers to our platform to improve how brokers and their clients work together by making benefits simpler and more convenient.”
