Piedmont Healthcare now participating in UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare Advantage Network, commercial relationship renewed


Piedmont and UnitedHealthcare have established a new network relationship, giving people enrolled in UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans, including the group National PPO plan and UnitedHealthcare’s Dual Special Needs Plan, access to Piedmont’s 16 hospitals, more than 800 locations and the Piedmont Clinic’s state-wide network of physicians, effective Jan. 1, 2022.

The multi-year agreement provides UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage members enhanced access to quality, affordable care and gives seniors a new option as they choose which health plan best meets their health care needs during the current Medicare annual enrollment period.

Piedmont and UnitedHealthcare also reached agreement months early on a new multi-year relationship for people enrolled in employer-sponsored plans, ensuring continued access to the health system’s facilities and physicians. Piedmont will also participate in UnitedHealthcare’s Individual & Family Plans offered through the marketplace exchange, effective Jan. 1, 2022.
